Kowalkiewicz will take on Michelle Waterson in a strawweight bout at UFC Philadelphia on March 30, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kowalkiewicz won her first 10 professional matches but has been in a slump over her last five, winning just two and falling twice in the first round. In her most recent fight, she was knocked out after just 1:58 by Jessica Andrade at UFC 228 in September. She'll face an opponent in Waterson who is riding a two-fight win streak, with decision victories over Cortney Casey-Sanchez and Felice Herrig.

Kowalkiewicz lost to Jessica Andrade via knockout (punch) at 1:58 of Round 1 at UFC 228 on Saturday in Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Unfortunately for Kowalkiewicz, this fight was all about Andrade. The Brazilian came out looking to land strikes from the opening bell. She rushed in with a combination and hurt Kowalkiewicz early. The Polish fighter got her wits back and went to her striking. However, Andrade continued to come forward with wild shots. About two minutes into the round, she landed a combination that dropped Kowalkiewicz and finished the fight.
To face Jessica Andrade in September

July 18, 2018
Kowalkiewicz will take on Jessica Andrade at UFC 228 on September 8 in Dallas, Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kowalkiewicz is coming off a pair of victories over Jodie Esquibel (unanimous decision) and Felice Herrig (split decision) and will look to continue this momentum against Andrade. Following her win over Herrig, Kowalkiewicz improved her professional record to 12-2, and inches closer to a shot at current 115-pound champion Rose Namajunas. With regards to Andrade, Kowalkiewicz will have the slight advantage in striking defense, but the striking offense and grappling numbers lead heavily towards Andrade, who is also the younger fighter. Kowalkiewicz enters with two-inch advantages in both height and reach, however.

strawweightUFC
April 7, 2018
Kowalkiewicz defeated Felice Herrig via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC 223 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Kowalkiewicz came into this fight as a sizable favorite. She pulled out the victory, but she had a little bit more trouble with Herrig than expected. They both landed their fair share of strikes, but Kowalkiewicz consistently landed the better and harder strikes. Towards the end of the fight, Herrig was able to close the distance and land a hard power strike. However, Kowalkiewicz was able to survive and make the final bell. The Polish fighter appears to have gotten back on track after dropping back-to-back fights against Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha. Since the loss to Gadelha, she has won back-to-back fights.

Kowalkiewicz will face Felice Herrig in a strawweight fight at UFC 223 in Brooklyn on April 7.
ANALYSIS
Kowalkiewicz will look to keep things rolling after ending her two-fight skid with a unanimous decision victory over Jodie Esquibel at UFC Fight Night 118 in October. The 32-year-old, who owns an 11-2 overall record in professional MMA fights, will face an opponent in Herrig who is 5-1 since joining the UFC and in the midst of a four-fight win streak.
Earns convincing decision win in Poland
strawweightUFC
October 21, 2017
Kowalkiewicz defeated Jodie Esquibel via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night 118 on Saturday in Poland.
ANALYSIS
Kowalkiewicz marched her opponent down the whole fight, lighting her up with strikes at range and landing heavy pulldown knees in the clinch. Her fighting style allowed her to be tagged coming in but it didn't appear that Esquibel had the ability to hurt Kowalkiewicz, giving her free reign inside the Octagon. The 32-year-old's title hopes were dealt a crushing blow when she was quickly dispatched by Claudia Gadelha in June but these kinds of overwhelming victories should help her get to where she wants to be at strawweight. She improves to 11-2 in her professional MMA career as a result of the victory.
