Drops decision in Vegas
BantamweightUFC
June 15, 2024
Silva de Andrade lost to Miles Johns via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A low output fight such as this one in which there wasn't a whole lot going on is not the ideal scenario for the soon-to-be 39-year-old Silva de Andrade. The Brazilian was the slightly more active fighter, but managed to land just 36 total/significant strikes over the course of 15 minutes. Johns wasn't much better, connecting on 52 of his own, but Miles landed what would be termed the harder blows. Silva de Andrade has fought just seven times since November 2019, sporting a 4-3 record over that span. He's alternated wins and losses in his past four fights.

Silva de Andrade will enter the octagon for the first time in more than a year, and his most recent bout was a win over Cody Stamann via unanimous decision on May 13, 2023. Silva de Andrade owns a 29-5-0 pro record, and it's worth noting he's gone 3-1 over his last four fights.
Barely gets past Cody Stamann
BantamweightUFC
May 13, 2023
Silva de Andrade defeated Cody Stamann via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC on ABC 4 on Saturday in Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Entering as a +135 underdog, Silva de Andrade fought as well as could reasonably be expected, although it took some early help from the judges to get him across the finish line. Douglas faded in a major way in Round 3, but he did enough to win each of the first two frames. With Round 1 up in the air, the Brazilian was taken down by Stamann and responded with an accidental, illegal upkick. Referee Wayne Spinola halted the bout on Stamann's say, but never awarded Cody the position when action resumed, allowing Silva de Andrade to return to his feet, win the round, and ultimately, the fight. Set to turn 38 years of age in late-June, Douglas is a pretty poor bet moving forward, although he's won three of four dating back to October 2021.

Silva de Andrade lost to Said Nurmagomedov last July as a sizable underdog. The veteran is now just 4-4 over his last eight bouts and is 37 years of age. Stamann has bounced back from a three-fight losing streak with back-to-back wins.
Drops decision in Vegas
BantamweightUFC
July 9, 2022
Silva de Andrade lost to Said Nurmagomedov via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC on ESPN 39 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Silva de Andrade put forth his typical solid effort, making Nurmagomedov work for his win despite the fact the Brazilian entered as a +380 underdog, second largest on the entire card. Silva de Andrade had difficult generating consistent offense, with his best round being the second, which was oddly enough the only frame in which he didn't pick up a bit of control time. Silva de Andrade ultimately couldn't keep up with Nurmagomedov on the feet despite the fact he remained competitive for virtually the entire bout. Silva de Andrade is legitimately talented, but a 4-4 mark in eight bouts dating back to July 2017 simply isn't going to cut it for a guy who turned 37 years of age this past June.
Next bout set for July

Silva de Andrade will take on Said Nurmagomedov at the UFC event July 9, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Silva de Andrade was able to submit Sergey Morozov back in February following a tough start to the fight. That brought him to 5-3 over his last eight fights with the UFC. It will be an interesting matchup for the 36-year-old who is taking on a fighter who has yet to lose in his UFC career.
