Still searching for first UFC win
Fernandes lost to Tereza Bleda via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC on ESPN 47 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
We've only seen Fernandes twice inside the Octagon, but it's abundantly clear her poor takedown defense is a major issue. Bleda took full advantage. Gabriella ended up spending nearly 11 minutes (10:51) on her back, eliminating any chance she had of winning a decision. The craziest thing of all is that Fernandes appeared to be closing in on a knockout early in Round 3. She was landing massive repeated haymakers, at which point Bleda pushed forward and got her to the mat and the fight was over. Set to turn 30 years of age this coming August, there's no guarantee the Brazilian gets a third fight with the company.

Bleza fight scheduled
Fernandes will fight Tereza Bleda at a UFC Fight Night scheduled on June 17, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Both fighters lost their debut fights with the UFC. Fernandes suffered a UD loss (26-30, 26-30, 26-30) to Jasmine Jasudavicius earlier this year. Meanwhile, her upcoming opponent lost by TKO (spinning back kick and punches) to Natalia Silva back in November.

Drops decision in UFC debut
Fernandes lost to Jasmine Jasudavicius via unanimous decision (26-30, 26-30, 26-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
The latest in a long string of fighters making their UFC debut on the evening, Fernandes hung around for about a round before the roof caved in. Completely unable to deal with the brute strength and physicality of Jasudavicius, the Brazilian found herself on the short end of a 58-19 total strike count in Round 2 alone. She also allowed her opponent to land two takedowns in the frame. That was essentially the end of the fight right there. Set to turn 30 years of age this coming August and with zero history of facing, let alone defeating, even average competition, Fernandes has her work cut out for her moving forward.

Set to fight Jasudavicius
Fernandes will take on Jasmine Jasudavicius in a flyweight bout at UFC Vegas 70 on Feb. 25, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Jasudavicius was originally scheduled to face Cortney Casey (undisclosed), but she has been removed from the event, so it will be Fernandes' turn to enter the octagon. She signed a UFC contract in October 2022 and owns an 8-1-0 record, though this will be her first fight as an official UFC fighter.

Signs with UFC
Fernandes has signed with the UFC, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Fernandes hasn't tasted defeat since her second pro fight in 2018, and she's since rattled off seven consecutive victories. Three of those wins have came under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance, where she currently holds the flyweight belt. The 29-year-old will now get her shot at the highest level, though an official UFC debut has yet to be booked.
