Drops decision in Des Moines opener
Petrovic lost to Juliana Miller via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa.
ANALYSIS
Petrovic's struggles continue. She was predictably the more effective fighter on the feet, but she allowed three takedowns and 6:06 worth of control time to Miller over the course of the final 10 minutes, all but eliminating her chances of winning a decision. Petrovic won't be 31 years of age until June, so she's still in her athletic prime, but she joined the UFC in July 2023 with just six professional fights under her belt, and she's been awful (1-3) in her first four appearances with the company. It's far from a lock Petrovic will be granted another opportunity.

ANALYSIS
In the UFC, Petrovic is an unimpressive 1-2, but she can get back to an even record with a win over Miller. Miller has not fought since 2023 and is only 3-3 overall, without a win since winning The Ultimate Fighter.

Drops decision in Edmonton opener
Petrovic lost to Jamey-Lyn Horth via split decision (27-30, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Edmonton.
ANALYSIS
The fact Petrovic lost a 15-minute decision in which she was credited with 7:45 worth of control time isn't a great sign. What that tells us is that she did next to nothing with her positional advantage most of the bout. Horth was much better, but Ivana's pace slowed considerably as the fight progressed, a bad visual for the judges. Facing a native Canadian didn't help matters, either. Petrovic has just nine professional fights under her belt at age 30 and is 1-2 with the UFC. There isn't much to see here.

Third fight booked
Petrovic will fight Jamey-Lyn Horth at a UFC event on Nov. 2, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The Croatian flyweight currently holds a 1-1 UFC record, with the most recent of the two fights being a win against Liang Na back in April. Petrovic will enter the matchup in November with a four-inch reach advantage on the 34-year-old Canadian Horth, but both women hold the same UFC record and experience.

Picks up first UFC victory
Petrovic defeated Na Liang via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 1:29 of Round 3 at UFC on ESPN 55 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Petrovic was the largest favorite on the card in some spots at upwards of (-500), and while she ended up with a submission victory, she looked thoroughly mediocre the vast majority of this fight. Liang was in firm control early on, at which point she did what she always does -- gas out. Ivana was there to pick up the pieces, overwhelming her opponent in Round 2 before choking her out early in the final frame. Petrovic improves to 1-1 in the UFC but will need to show more her next time out against what will almost certainly be a better opponent than she faced here.

Liang up next

ANALYSIS
Petrovic will have a second chance to fight in the UFC. She entered the promotion 6-0 but lost her first and currently only fight post-signing at the hands of Luana Carolina via decision.
