Jared Gordon

Finishes Mark Madsen at MSG
November 11, 2023
Gordon defeated Mark Madsen via TKO (strikes) at 4:42 of Round 1 at UFC 295 on Saturday in New York City.
It's a huge win for Gordon in his native New York. When we last saw Jared, he and Bobby Green were fighting to a no-contest this past April following an accidental clash of heads. He was then scheduled to face Jim Miller in June before that fight fell apart. Gordon finally got back in the Octagon here and took full advantage of the opportunity. Both men were landing at a similar rate in what was primarily a clinch battle before Gordon dropped Madsen late in Round 1 with an elbow and right hand. Referee Marc Goddard was stepping in moments later. Gordon improves to 8-5 (1NC) in his first 14 UFC bouts.

Scheduled for MSG fight
September 8, 2023
Gordon (undisclosed) will compete against Mark Madsen at UFC 295 in New York City on Nov. 11, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
Gordon will have his next fight scheduled for the promotion's annual event at Madison Square Garden. The lightweight will try to overcome an overwhelming wave of misfortune, including a no-contest with Bobby Green and a canceled fight against Jim Miller, since late-2022, when he was defeated by Paddy Pimblett via a controversial decision.
Not fighting Miller
June 1, 2023
Gordon will not fight Jim Miller on Saturday, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
Initially, Gordon and Miller were supposed to fight in a lightweight bout at UFC on ESPN 46. However, the former will be unable to compete because of an undisclosed reason.
Books June 3 fight

Gordon will take on Jim Miller in a lightweight UFC event on June 3, John Morgan of The Underground reports.
Gordon is set to take on future hall of fame fighter Jim Miller in a June 3 clash. Standing at 5-foot-9, Gordon stands one-inch taller than Miller, though Miller sports a 71-inch reach, three inches longer than Gordon's. Gordan is joining the fight as a replacement for L'udovit Klein. Miller lands a much lower amount of significant strikes per minute (2.85) than Gordon's 5.32.
Can't continue following headbutt
April 23, 2023
Gordon and Bobby Green fought to a no-contest at 4:35 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
This was nearly a disaster for Gordon before common sense prevailed. He was the victim of an accidental clash of heads between the two men late in Round 1, which eventually led to what seemed to be a Green knockout win. Referee Keith Peterson, who had stopped the fight, wisely had the replay officials check it out, changing the result to a no-contest. Don't be surprised if the UFC tries to re-book these two ASAP.
Set to face Bobby Green
January 20, 2023
Gordon agreed to fight Bobby Green at UFC's April 22 event, Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of USA Today report.
Gordon is coming off a loss to Paddy Pimblett in December, though the unanimous decision handed down by the judges was questionable, at best. Green has lost his past two bouts, with his most recent loss coming at the hands of Drew Dober last month.
