Struggles continue in Vegas
Vendramini lost to Paddy Pimblett via KO (punches) at 4:25 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It won't make Vendramini feel any better, but he looked like the better fighter prior to the stoppage. Unfortunately, he crumbled following a quick blitz from the debuting Pimblett. The Brazilian appeared to be out cold prior to hitting the mat. Vendramini was undefeated prior to his arrival in the UFC back in September 2018, but he has now lost three of his four bouts with the company, with two of those -- including Saturday's -- coming via knockout. Vendramini will probably be fighting for his roster spot his next time out.

Comeback falls just short
Vendramini lost to Fares Ziam via majority decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-28) at UFC 263 on Saturday in Glendale, Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Vendramini nearly pulled a rabbit out of his hat after clearly dropping the first two rounds. He allowed the much bigger Ziam to counter him to death over the course of the first ten minutes before recognizing the predicament he was in and throwing everything but the kitchen sink at his opponent during the final frame. It was impressive, but ultimately too little, too late. The 25-year-old Brazilian has how alternated losses and wins in his first three UFC bouts. He should be back in short order.

Booked for UFC 263
Vendramini will fight Fares Ziam at UFC 263 on June 12, Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting reports.
ANALYSIS
Vendramini is coming off an impressive performance in which he defeated Jessin Ayari via TKO (kick punches) with just over a minute remaining in the first round. "The Italian Stallion" will look to start a winning streak by defeating Ziam who most recently came off an unconvincing win via unanimous decision back in October.

Explodes into win column
Vendramini defeated Jessin Ayari via TKO (kick punches) at 1:12 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Vendramini connected with a low kick early but largely waited for his opponent to lead the dance in the fight's opening moments. He ate a couple kicks himself and failed on a takedown attempt before a quick exchange turned momentum in Vendramini's direction. A counter right hand followed by multiple right hooks wobbled Ayari, but it was a shin that connected flush with Ayari's neck that caught the referee's attention. It only took a couple follow-up shots and the fight was over. The quick finish will ulitmately earn the Italian one of four $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses awarded Saturday evening. Vendramini hasn't fought in the UFC since September of 2018 when he lost to Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos and sustained multiple injuries, and he's been on the recovery track ever since. The Italian certainly looked healthy here, and more importantly, was able to shake off any rust that may have accumulated. At just 24 years old, the UFC might have something here.
