Santos fight scheduled
Chiasson will fight Yana Santos in a bantamweight bout at UFC Vegas 76 on July 1, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
After being finished by Irene Aldana, Chiasson will try to redeem herself against Santos, who recently returned from a pregnancy-related absence with a loss of her own against Holly Holm. Both women have lost two of their last three fights and would love a win to prevent a third.

Stopped by Irene Aldana
Chiasson lost to Irene Aldana via TKO (kick) at 2:21 of Round 3 at UFC 279 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
What a strange fight. The end result was a crushing defeat for Chiasson in one of the weirdest finishes in quite a while. Macy struggled early on here. She fought off multiple deep submission attempts in Round 1, and it appeared she even briefly tapped out, although referee Jason Herzog clearly didn't see it. She improved immensely in Round 2 on the strength of her wrestling and was making additional headway in Round 3 before Aldana clipped her with an upkick to the liver. Chiasson immediately crumbled to the mat, and it happened so quickly no one seemed to know what occurred. Macy is the tallest female fighter on the UFC roster at 5-foot-11 and gets top-flight training on a daily basis with "The General" Sayif Saud and the crew at Fortis MMA in Dallas, but she's never been able to put it all together, sporting a 3-3 record in her last six bouts dating back to September 2019.

Taking on Irene Aldana
Chiasson will face Irene Aldana in a catchweight contest at UFC 279 on September 10, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Chiasson, like Aldana, enters UFC 279 riding a one-game winning streak. Chiasson, however, has fought much more recently, beating Norma Dumont by decision in May at UFC 274. Chiasson enters the match with a height, weight, and reach advantage on the older Aldana. Whether Aldana's superior experience can level the playing field remains to be seen.

Defeats heavy opponent
Chiasson defeated Norma Dumont via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27) at UFC 274 on Saturday in Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
It was a massive victory for Chiasson as she not only picked up the win, but also pocketed 30 percent of Dumont's fight purse after the latter missed weight by half a pound on Friday. Apparently sensing a hole in Dumont's game, Chiasson fired off a dozen takedowns, landing half of them. She essentially confirmed in her post-fight interview that she saw it as her clearest path to victory and took it. Chiasson's biggest asset is her size. She's a legitimate 5-foot-11 and is going to be the bigger woman against most every opponent. It hasn't been pretty at times, but Chiasson has quietly racked up an impressive 6-2 record in her first eight UFC bouts.

Opponent misses weight
Chiasson will receive 30 percent of Norma Dumont's purse for Saturday's featherweight matchup at UFC 274 after Dumont missed weight Friday, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Dumont tipped the scales at 146.5 pounds and will not make a second attempt to cut weight, so Chiasson will receive a portion of her purse at UFC 274. Chiasson lost to Raquel Pennington in December via submission, but she'll look to get back on track Saturday against Dumont, who is currently on a three-fight win streak.
