Mingyang will take on Brendson Ribeiro in a light heavyweight matchup at UFC China on December 9, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Mingyang is a 25-year-old fighter with a 16-6 professional record who will be making his official debut. He officially got his shot with the company following a first-round finish of Tuco Tokkos in the first season of Road to the UFC back in June of 2022. Mingyang was then scheduled to debut against a respected light heavyweight challenger in Tyson Pedro, but he was forced to withdraw for undisclosed reasons. Now presumably in the clear, he'll get a chance to fight in his native China against a more appropriate matchup in Ribeiro -- a 27-year-old who just recently earned his contract via Contender Series in May.
