2025 Fantasy Outlook
Although McNeil missed nearly half the season due to a knee injury, he put together an excellent campaign when healthy. He recorded 10 goal contributions despite making just 15 starts, and that level of play bodes very well for him heading into next season under David Moyes. He's recorded at least seven goal contributions in six of his seven full Premier League campaigns, so he has a nice baseline, but he took it up another level during the 2024/25 season. After putting together a season in which he was on pace to record around 20 goal contributions, he has significant upside heading into the 2025/26 campaign, assuming he can build off last season's efficiency.

Incredible prior to injury
McNeil scored four goals and added six assists in 21 appearances (15 starts) in the Premier League.
ANALYSIS
McNeil was one of the best creative midfielders in the Premier League prior to his knee injuries that lingered through most of the season. The attacking midfielder was then shut down for three months to try and recover. In the end he was a depth option for the closing stages of the season, making two starts in the final eight matches, though adding four goal contributions in that span. When fully fit McNeil should have plenty of upside, especially if he can overcome the nagging knee issue.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Undergoes Everton physical
McNeil is reportedly going through his medical at Everton ahead of a move from Burnley, Greg O'Keefe of the Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
McNeil started 35 of his 28 appearances for Burnley last season in which he recorded one assist, 52 shots, 199 crosses and 48 corners. With Burnley relegated to the Championship, it was unlikely the midfielder was going to go with the club, having drawn interest from several clubs beyond Everton. Assuming the transfer is finalized, McNeil should be in the mix for a regular spot in the starting XI, especially considering he has featured in 107 of his 112 Premier League contests over the previous three years.
