2025 Fantasy Outlook
Silva has often been in rumors to leave City, but his versatility and overall health continue to be important for Pep Guardiola, starting 29 of 33 league appearances last season en route to four goals and four assists. However, with him seeing more time centrally and defensively instead of his normal attacking roles, his eight goal contributions were his worst in a season since joining the club in 2017. This is a bit of a worry entering the season considering the bevy of attacking options at City's disposal. Then again, Silva can play anywhere and technically he can also produce from anywhere. Yet, at 31 years old to open the season, his numbers will start to drop at some point, no matter how important he's been for Guardiola.
Rough start to campaign
F/MManchester City
October 13, 2025
Silva has started in four of his seven appearances this campaign with one assist on seven chances created to go along with one shot and 12 crosses.
ANALYSIS
Silva has been put into more of a rotational role to begin this season, as the attacker has only started in four of his seven appearances in league play. That said, he has served between the middle and right side of the midfield, but to little success, with one assist his only goal contribution all campaign. He has served off the bench in two of his past three appearances, seeing less and less time as Rodri returns from injury and Phil Foden finds his form again.

Two giants fighting for him
F/MManchester City
October 7, 2025
Barcelona and Juventus are fighting to sign Bernardo Silva, according to Caught Offside.
ANALYSIS
The 31-year-old playmaker is expected to leave Manchester City in the summer, and the fact that the likes of Barca and Juve are interested in him suggest that he remains good enough to continue playing at the highest level in Europe. A move to Saudi Arabia can't be ruled out, though, as Al-Ahli, Al-Qadsiah and Al-Nassr are preparing substantial offers for the Portugal international.
