Jarrad Branthwaite

2026 Fantasy Outlook
Branthwaite enters the 2026/27 season looking to bounce back after an injury-ravaged 2025/26 campaign. Hamstring issues, including surgery in October and a season-ending setback in April, limited him to just 10 appearances (seven starts), and Everton failed to keep a clean sheet in any of those matches. Even so, his underlying defensive numbers, 41 clearances, 13 tackles and 11 interceptions in limited action, are a reminder of why he's so highly regarded. Everton expect him to be fit for preseason, and a healthy Branthwaite alongside James Tarkowski would give the club one of its strongest center-back pairings, with Branthwaite also offering some goal threat from set pieces. The concern is obvious, however, as recurring hamstring problems make him a risky fantasy option until he proves he can stay healthy. His preseason fitness will be worth monitoring before draft day.
Crucial defensively in 1-0 win
Branthwaite recorded 10 clearances and two interceptions in Saturday's 1-0 win versus Ipswich Town.
ANALYSIS
Branthwaite had a massive defensive influence as Everton would win 1-0 against Ipswich. He made 10 clearances, two interceptions and two blocks to help his side to their third clean sheet of the season. He made a crucial intervention in the final moments of the game as he stopped an Ipswich attacker just as he was about to gather the ball and shoot.

Target for Man United
Branthwaite is one of several targets Manchester United are looking to strengthen their defense in the January transfer window, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
ANALYSIS
Manchester United could inject some much-needed youth into their defensive line in the upcoming January transfer window and are looking to make a move for Branthwaite. The defender was called up to represent England during the current international break and has been playing at a high level for Everton, so he could be a long-term addition to fill the void that will be left by the impending departure of Harry Maguire.
