2025 Fantasy Outlook
Rodri only had a small sample after an ACL tear left him sidelined for nearly the entire campaign. He returned for the final few games and saw even more time during the Club World Cup, so the thought is that he'll be close to 100 percent for the start of 2025/26. If that's the case and he remains fit, he could hold his usual midfield role the majority of the season with 30-plus starts in play. At his peak a couple years ago, he was frequently involved in goals, totaling eight goals and nine assists. It's hard to see him being near those numbers this season, but as long as he's on the pitch, he'll have the ball near the top of the box and good things usually happen for City in those instances.

Struggling with pain in knee
Rodri (knee) is struggling with pain in his knee and is a doubt for Wednesday's trip to Monaco, per manager Pep Guardiola."I don't know right now how the pain is in his knee. He said to us that he was not ready to play."
ANALYSIS
Rodri is still coming back from an ACL injury so any pain in the knee is a major concern. With just a few days before a clash with Monaco in the Champions League it's possible Rodri is shut down for that match. Nico Gonzalez got the start during the 5-1 win over Burnley on Saturday.

Managing fitness for Sunday
Rodri is managing his fitness heading into Sunday's match against Arsenal, according to manager Pep Guardiola. "We see day by day. The important thing is he arrived two games. On Wednesday, for example, in the training schedule, he didn't feel comfortable, and he didn't train good, but said 'no, no. I will be fine tomorrow' and he played extraordinarily like Rodri does. With him on the pitch, we feel more comfortable. But of course, he came from a tough injury, and we have to be alert. We will decide on Sunday how he feels."

Option to face Spurs
Rodri (groin) is an option for Saturday's match against Tottenham, according to manager Pep Guardiola. "Rodri, in the last game, he was out but for just the reason why - a lack of training and rhythm, and they didn't travel to Palermo, and the other guys were doing it all through the pre-season. He was not [ready] for 90 minutes against Wolves, but they were ready and of course they are ready for tomorrow."
