Pavlyuchenkova (knee) announced Thursday on Twitter that she's resumed hitting but is uncertain that she'll be ready for the start of the 2023 season.
ANALYSIS
Pavlyuchenkova ruled herself out for the rest of 2022 back in mid-May so that she could take enough time away to fully heal a persistent left knee injury that she had previously been trying to play through. The new season kicks off the first week of January, so that gives the 31-year-old nearly four months to ramp up and test out the knee.
