PropSwap Picks of the Week

PropSwap Picks of the Week

This article is part of our Betting Promotions series.

Have you ever made a bet at a sportsbook that you later regretted? Did the money line change on you?  Or conversely, did you bet on a future that suddenly had a great chance at hitting? If so, a secondary marketplace to sell your ticket is available to you!  PropSwap posts your tickets and makes them available via a straight sale or a bidding process. Think of PropSwap as an eBay for sports tickets. Like an item on eBay, you place the ticket on PropSwap and then people can buy and/or bid on your action.  And, yes, that's right - you can also buy action on the site as well!

The purpose of our weekly article is to take a look at what's available on PropSwap this week and give advice on our best buys. Before you buy anything on PropSwap, be sure to read the fine print. The betting slip will be sent you via certified mail, so if your ticket wins, you need to be near a licensed sportsbook to cash it in. Although deadlines to cash vary, the typical expiration date for most sportsbooks is six months or 180 days from the date of the initial purchase.

NFL

The majority of the action in the NFL section is parlay bets.  While I'll throw one in there, this is a week where we want to lock in some futures while their odds are still favorable.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS TO WIN 2021 SUPER BOWL - 17.53:1   $35.00 TO WIN:$630.00

The Seahawks' SOS is about in the middle of the pack (13th), but the team has all the tools to make a deep playoff run this year.  Side-by-side, they match up fairly well against the 49ers, who will be their primary competition in the NFC West. You can certainly see them emerge from that division as a wildcard at the very least, and by that time their odds will certainly jump.

CHI-DET OVER 44.0/GIANTS ML/PIT-NYG UNDER 48/CHARGERS -3.5/ TITANS ML/ TEN-DEN UNDER 41/PACKERS ML/PHO-SF OVER 47.0 - 28.64:1  $20.00 TO WIN $592.75

The bettor's Money Line bets drove these odds, but of the large assortment of 8-leg parlays on the site, I like this one more than most, partly due to the attractive price.  When you are first utilizing the service, you're probably going to play a wait-and-see approach to see how it all works, and a $20 parlay is a decent way to begin.  Other than the Chargers -3.5 bet, I think there's an argument for most of this parlay to hit, although some don't follow the sharps (the NYG ML being the best example).  If you're like me, I enjoy throwing in a big parlay whenever I'm in Vegas on a weekend (I'm 3.5 hours away).  With PropSwap, you can do it from your couch.

NBA

HOUSTON ROCKETS TO WIN 2020 NBA CHAMPIONSHIP - 21.24:1 $45.00 TO WIN $1001.00

You're going to find futures for every team in the NBA section, but the odds aren't so great for the favorites as you would expect.  This series could also be over very soon but if you view this bet as a sort of Houston ML for tonight, it makes sense.   A win for the Rockets would send these odds back up, and based on how this series is going, it could definitely happen.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL

AUBURN TO WIN 2021 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP - 51.80:1 $5.00 TO WIN $264.00

I would have liked this bet a lot better if it was just for winning the SEC, but I'm high on Alabama falling short this year, and an upstart like Auburn, Tennessee, or Texas A&M could surprise a lot of people.  Due to LSU's massive departure of talent, I don't them winning more than 7 games, which opens up some opportunity for Auburn.

Since this is our first article for PropSwap, these picks serve as a decent introduction. It should help you get familiar and comfortable with the site.  Next week, we'll start to implement advice on some of our own bets to sell. As the season moves forward, we are sure to see more action on the College Football and NFL fronts and we will be able to offer more recommendations.
