FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The NBA follows up a busy Christmas Day with eight games on the schedule Tuesday. There is only one player priced over $10,000 on FanDuel for the evening, so you won't have as many elite options to choose from as usual. Let's dive into the schedule and see which players you should consider for your entry.

Guards

Tyreke Evans, MEM at PHO ($8,500): Evans has been playing well with Mike Conley (Achilles) out of action, scoring at least 30.2 FanDuel points in seven of his last eight games. He's coming off of a dominant performance Saturday against the Clippers when he scored 61.9 FanDuel points. The Grizzles get another bad defensive team Tuesday in the Suns, who have allowed the most points per game (112.8) in the league. Evans should be in line for another productive evening.

Austin Rivers, LAC vs. SAC ($6,600): The Clippers have been crushed by injuries this season, leaving Rivers to average a career-high 33 minutes per game. He hasn't let his opportunity go to waste, scoring at least 46.6 FanDuel points in back-to-back games. His 22.7% usage rate is the highest of his career, leaving him likely to have plenty of opportunities to produce again Tuesday.

George Hill, SAC at LAC ($4,800): De'Aaron Fox (quad) will be out again Tuesday, which should lead to more minutes for Hill. He logged 34 minutes with Fox out Saturday against the Spurs, scoring 18.4 FanDuel points. Considering the Spurs allow the second-fewest FanDuel points per game (40.3) to opposing point guards, Hill's performance was a little easier to stomach. With a much easier opponent in the Clippers on Tuesday, Hill is worth consideration at his cheap price.

Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL vs. CHI ($11,800): Giannis (knee) missed the Bucks last game Saturday against the Hornets, but is listed as probable for Tuesday. With the expectation that he will play, he will get to face a Bulls squad that he scored 56.2 FanDuel points against earlier this month. One of the few elite options available on the day, Giannis should be worth his lofty price tag in this contest.

Josh Richardson, MIA vs. ORL ($6,000): The Heat will be shorthanded again Tuesday with James Johnson (ankle), Dion Waiters (ankle) and Justise Winslow (knee) already ruled out and Hassan Whiteside (knee) questionable. Richardson has played at least 36 minutes in five straight games with all the Heat's injury issues, so that should continue again Tuesday. He scored at least 34.8 FanDuel points in four of those five games and should provide value based on his role against the Magic.

Bobby Portis, CHI at MIL ($4,500): Portis' playing time of late would appear to be concerning as he has played 21 minutes or less in three straight games. However, two of those games were blowouts and one was a tough matchup against the Cavaliers, so it's not as bad as it appears. He played 29 minutes in his last game against the Bucks, scoring 43.4 FanDuel points. He's one of the focal points of the Bulls bench and plays center when they go small, so he has the potential to provide value at this price.

Centers

Andre Drummond, DET vs. IND ($9,300): Drummond has dominated the Pacers in three games this season, averaging 16.0 points, 16.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. The Pacers allow the most FanDuel points per game (58.9) to opposing centers, so it should come as no surprise that Drummond has played so well against them. While he's one of the most expensive options at any position Tuesday, Drummond still has upside based on his opponent.

DeAndre Jordan, LAC vs. SAC ($8,200): The Clippers have very little size up front right now, so they really need Jordan to control the glass. He's been up to the task, averaging 18.3 rebounds over his last 10 games. While not known for his offensive game, he still managed to average 12.2 points per game over that same stretch. The Kings also allow an average of 58.9 FanDuel points per game to opposing centers, making Jordan someone worth consideration for your entry.

Bismack Biyombo, ORL at MIA ($4,400): The Magic have dealt with significant injuries to their starters, the latest being starting center Nikola Vucevic (hand) who is now out for 6-to-8 weeks. Biyombo will likely be the starting center and see significantly more playing time than the 15 minutes per game he has averaged so far. He shouldn't provide much offense, but he averaged 6.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in only 22 minutes per game last year. With added playing time on tap, take advantage of Biyombo at this price.
