Grizzlies Close Out Fifth Straight Win
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the visiting Phoenix Suns, 108-104, at FedEx Forum on Monday evening.

The Suns got out to a strong start on the road with a, 24-18, lead after one quarter. The Grizzlies answered in the second, where they outscored the visitors by 10 points, to take a four-point lead into halftime. They carried the momentum into the third and pushed their lead up to eight points early in the quarter, but the Suns fought back to cut it to a two-point game heading into the final frame. The Suns pulled ahead in the fourth and built a six-point lead with about four minutes to go. The Grizzlies took over in the final minutes, where they outscored the visitors, 18-8, to pull ahead and close out their fifth straight win.

Seven players scored in double digits for the Grizzlies, led by Ja Morant and Brandon Clarke, who tallied 17 points each. Grayson Allen added 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and a steal, off the bench, while Tyus Jones totaled 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal. The Grizzlies shot 49 percent from the field, including 11-of-26 from long range.

Meanwhile, Deandre Ayton led the Suns with 18 points, 16 rebounds, three assists and a block, in 34 minutes. Mikal Bridges followed up with 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, while Chris Paul totaled 16 points, seven assists, three rebounds and three steals. The Suns shot 46 percent from the field, including 15-of-36 from long range.

The Suns (7-5) will look to bounce back as they take on the Rockets in Houston on Wednesday. The Grizzlies (7-6) take on Trail Blazers in Portland on Wednesday.
