Mavericks Defeat Timberwolves in Game 3, 116-107, Take 3-0 Series Lead
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, 116-107, in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals at American Airlines Center on Sunday.

Dallas leads this series, 3-0. No team has ever overcome a 0-3 deficit in NBA history.

There were 10 ties and 13 lead changes in this game, with neither team leading by more than 12 points. That was Dallas, outscoring Minnesota in the first half, 60-52. It got close after a 35-27 third quarter in favor of Minnesota, but Dallas put the game away with a 29-20 fourth quarter. The Mavericks shot 56 percent from the field, 50 percent from three-point range and 84 percent from the free-throw line while holding the T'Wolves to 51 percent from the field, 30 percent from long range and 71 percent from the charity stripe.

The Timberwolves (0-3) were led by Anthony Edwards, accruing 26 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals. Mike Conley collected 16 points and four assists. Jaden McDaniels scored 15 points. Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 14 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Naz Reid led the bench with 14 points, three rebounds and two assists.

The Mavericks (3-0) were led by Kyrie Irving, compiling 33 points, three rebounds and four assists. Luka Doncic had 33 points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals. PJ Washington provided 16 points, two rebounds and two assists. Daniel Gafford generated five points, three rebounds and three blocks, while Jaden Hardy led the bench with seven points.

Game 4 will be on Tuesday in Dallas.
