2024 Fantasy Outlook
After playing in Atlanta during the 2023-24 season, Fernando was signed by the Raptors this offseason. Fernando averaged a career-high 15.2 minutes per game last year, putting up 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds. To this point in his career, he has bounced around from one backup role to the next, yet to establish himself as a consistent piece of any rotation. Although Toronto is unlikely to be a highly competitive team, Fernando's path to minutes remains far from clear. He will be battling Kelly Olynyk and Chris Boucher for a role behind Jakob Poeltl, with Olynyk being the clear preference to open the season. Fernando is not worth drafting in any format given his limitations when it comes to both playing time and production. Read Past Outlooks

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2019
To this point, Fernando has not played more than 13 minutes per game across his four-year career. He played in just 39 games during the 2022-23 season, averaging 3.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per outing. The Hawks have both Clint Capela and Onyeka Okongwu to choose from when it comes to center minutes, meaning Fernando is likely to be on the outside looking in when it comes to meaningful playing time. He might be worth keeping an eye on, just in case a Capela trade happens at some point, but until then, he has very little fantasy value.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Could enter rotation
Fernando has logged back-to-back healthy scratches following a five-game absence due to back spasms, but he could factor into the rotation due to Clint Capela being set for a multi-game absence with an adductor injury, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Fernando has compiled just 84 total minutes of action across 13 appearances with Atlanta this season. Onyeka Okongwu receiving developmental minutes likely remains the priority, but it will be interesting to monitor if Fernando is reintroduced to the rotation following his recent inactivity.
