With a free pass to the finals after a washout against Paarl Rocks, Jozi Stars take on the team of the tournament, Cape Town Blitz, in the finals of the inaugural Mzansi Super League in Cape Town on Sunday. The top two teams of the league phase, Jozi Stars and Cape Town Blitz were believed to be the best two teams in the competition and it is only apt that the two face-off in the finals which is set to be the culmination of a tremendous past few weeks in South Africa.

Cape Town Blitz lost their last game at the venue, that to the last-placed Durban Heat which really shoots up Jozi Stars' chances for they have been in great form heading down to the finals. The Newlands surface is a belter and could help the batsmen as much as it does the faster bowlers and the action-packed grand finale is bound to be more exciting at one of the best venues in the country.

Conditions: A belter of a pitch with something in it for the quicker men

Player Recommendations:

Wicket-keeper: Quinton de Kock (10.5 points)

Quinton de Kock has found his mojo in the tournament and when he does that the danger of a breath-taking knock looms and Jozi Stars would hope and pray that doesn't happen in the finals. The diminutive wicket-keeper batsman is a ferocious striker of the ball and is the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament with 407 runs at 67.83.

Batsman: Reeza Hendricks

Batsman: Reeza Hendricks (9 points)

After back to back hundreds in the tournament, Reeza Hendricks is the go-to man in the batting line-up for the Stars. He is behind de Kock in the run-scorers chart but equally capable of destruction and much of Stars' hopes would be pinned on Hendricks going bonkers at Newlands on Sunday.

All-rounder: Dan Christian (9 points)

That Christian bats in the top five of the batting order at Jozi Stars makes him a great pick for he has always been a contributor with the ball. His striking prowess has grown multiple times in recent years and the Australian is sure to be a great pick for the game on Sunday. He has 16 sixes in the tournament so far and can be the game changer for you in the fantasy side.

Bowler: Dale Steyn (9 points)

The South African has hit the ground running ever since returning from injury and has 11 wickets in the competition in eight matches. The Newlands surface is one which Steyn enjoys bowling on and the extra zip and pace should make him a tough proposition for the Stars to conquer. If he gets going with the new ball, you could rue if you don't have him in your ranks.

Captain: Quinton de Kock

Vice-captain: Dan Christian
