Second Test preview: India vs West Indies

An in-form India team will be looking to once again show their dominance when they will face struggling West Indies in Hyderabad in the second-Test of the two-match series from Friday.
The Men in Blue will be high on confidence after registering an impressive an innings and 272-run win in the first game of the series and will be looking to seal another series win on the home soil.

In the batting department, it will be interesting to see if the team management will make any substantial changes in the squad who registered a thumping win in Rajkot. There has been talk that the team management will be eager to give chance to all three openers as it is their last five-day encounter before the all-important Australia tour.

On the other hand, West Indies will be desperate to turn things around and put in a much impressive show this time around. The return of regular captain Jason Holder and veteran pacer Kemar Roach will be a massive boost for the visitors, who will be looking to find inspiration from the return of two seasoned campaigners.

Key players

Davendra Bishoo – 8.5 Cr

Key players

Davendra Bishoo – 8.5 Cr
First in the list features West Indies leg-spinner Davendra Bishoo, who had a decent first game of the series where he was the most successful bowlers for the visitors and ended up claiming four wickets. The right-arm leggie, who has already represented the Caribbean giants in 33 Tests, where he claimed 110 wickets at an average of 36.89 and strike-rate of 69.1, will be once again a suitable choice at the value of 8.5 Cr considering his good performance in the last game and also considering the fact that he will be the most experience campaigner in the bowling department once again. Before last innings, Bishoo was wicketless in five innings.

Ravindra Jadeja – 9.5 Cr
Second in the list features India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who had an outstanding game for the home side in the series' opener. In Rajkot, the 29-year-old scored his maiden century in the five-day format and also claimed four wickets for the team. Valued at 9.5 Cr, Jadeja, who has represented the Men in Blue in 38 Tests, where he has scored 1,395 runs and claimed 182 wickets, can be an excellent acquisition given the fact that he is in prime form, not only with ball, but bat as well. In the last match, Jadeja was the highest point accumulator out of all the players as he managed to bag 101.5 points.

Roston Chase – 9 Cr
Last in the list features West Indies all-rounder Roston Chase. The 26-year-old had a decent game in Rajkot as he managed to score 73 runs and also claimed a wicket while bowling as well. During both innings, Chase looked like a solid player with the bat and probably looked the best out of all the West Indies batsmen. Valued at 9 Cr, Chase might be a good acquisition as he can not only score some valuable runs for the team, but can also claim important scalps as well.
