EDG vs. DMO

This is going to be a really chalky slate, and I was looking at this game when Hope got ruled out to see if DMO could pull it off, but BBD is mechanically good. His smarts aren't there yet, as he didn't press R for his ult in some team fights, and there were a lot of times where he was too passive in those situations. EDG looked good as a team against TES, and this is a spot where they should come out and smash. DMO got a game off SN but we are now seeing a lot of regression from some of the teams that started off hot, and there will be times where a team like DMO might cheese a game; however, they are not good enough to take a series off anyone yet. EDG should smash here and a good spot to full stack for a 2-0 GNP.

Prediction: EDG 2-0

V5 vs. FPX

A lot of this game depends on whether FPX can play like they did against eStar, but better. eStar didn't do much in that game and basically handed FPX the entire series with reckless plays. People tend to forget that FPX are a top-of-the-table team and when taken too lightly they will make you look foolish. There was a video circulating with DoinB typing during team fights and

A lot of this game depends on whether FPX can play like they did against eStar, but better. eStar didn't do much in that game and basically handed FPX the entire series with reckless plays. People tend to forget that FPX are a top-of-the-table team and when taken too lightly they will make you look foolish. There was a video circulating with DoinB typing during team fights and was still destroying them. LWX and Crisp were the two players I worried about going into the eStar match, but they performed very well and this is going to be a tough task for V5. V5 have slowed their tempo down a bit since the start of the split and are playing heavy objective as they climbed to be second in dragon control, first in baron control and second in jungle control. This is a challenge to them, as they have never played a stylistic team like FPX where DoinB is constantly everywhere on the map and helping other lanes out. FPX are still trying to get their games in and their stats are an outlier on how good they can be. They are very team-fight heavy, their rotations from lane to lane are smarter than most teams, and their communication is on point when they decide to go all in or not.

Prediction: FPX 2-0

  • FPX Players to target: Everyone
