Giants at Eagles Betting Odds, Picks and Predictions for Week 8

The Giants will play the Eagles for the second time in three weeks when the teams square off Sunday. The Eagles will be looking for revenge after losing their Week 6 matchup, and their offense could be aided by injuries on defense for the Giants. Let's look at the betting side of things and highlight three wagers to consider.

Mike Barner's season record: 22-20 (-1.94 units)

Giants at Eagles Betting Odds

Giants: Spread +7.5 (-118 BetMGM), +310 Moneyline (BetMGM, DraftKings)
Eagles: Spread -7 (-110 Bet365, FanDuel), -350 Moneyline (Bet365, Fanatics)
Game Total: Over 43.5 points (-105 ESPN Bet), Under 44 (-110 Bet365, BetMGM, Caesars, Fanastics)

The Giants are dealing with key injuries on defense with Brian Burns (hip), Paulson Adebo (knee) and Jevon Holland (knee) all missing practice time this week. Burns has said he will play Sunday, but Adebo and Holland will likely be out. A.J. Brown (hamstring) has been ruled out for the Eagles.

Giants at Eagles Betting Picks

Both teams to score 15+ points (-160 DraftKings) for 1 Unit

The Giants' offense has been much better with Jaxson Dart under center. In his first start, they scored 21 points against a good Chargers' defense. The Giants scored just 14 points in the next game against the Saints, mainly because they had five turnovers. The following two weeks, they scored 34 points against the Eagles, and 32 points against the Broncos. It might be difficult for the Giants to top 30 points against the Eagles again, but Dart has clearly elevated their offense.

The likely absences of Adebo and Holland are huge for the Giants' secondary. They were their top offseason additions to their secondary that struggled mightily last year. The loss of Adebo would be particularly bad because Deonte Banks would likely be thrust into a larger role. The Eagles could blow past 15 points in this matchup, so even with the juice that comes with this wager, it stands out as one to consider.

Jaxson Dart Over 6.5 rush attempts (-142 DraftKings) for 1 Unit

Dart recorded another rushing touchdown in Week 7, but ran just five times for 11 yards. It marked his first start in which he had fewer than seven carries. The last time he faced the Eagles, he ran 13 times for 58 yards and one touchdown.

The Eagles have had problems slowing down quarterbacks on the ground. They have allowed 6.33 yards per carry to the position, which is the third-highest mark in the NFL. With Malik Nabers (knee) out for the season, the Giants need Dart to impact games with both his arm and his legs. With that in mind, look for him to get back to his running ways in this matchup.

Wan'Dale Robinson Over 51.5 receiving yards (-114 FanDuel) for 1 Unit

Even with Nabers in the fold, Robinson received 140 targets for the Giants last season. He caught 93 of them, but finished with just 699 receiving yards. The biggest problem was that his average depth of target was just 4.6 yards.

Now that Nabers is gone, Robinson is emerging as the Giants' top wide receiver. In their last two games, he recorded 84 and 95 receiving yards. He has also been targeted at least seven times in each of the last three games. After running a lot of short routes last year, his average depth of target is 9.2 yards this season. The Eagles have allowed the sixth-most receptions to wide receivers, so Robinson could be in line for another productive afternoon.

Giants at Eagles Prediction

The Giants will be looking to respond to their epic collapse against the Broncos last week. As good as they looked against the Eagles in Week 6, this rematch will be played in Philadelphia. The Eagles are the better team, and don't want to lose two games to their division rivals, so look for them to come away with a victory.

Eagles 27, Giants 20
