Opportunity-Neutral Cheat Sheet: Removing the Attempt/Carry/Target Variables

Opportunity-Neutral Cheat Sheet: Removing the Attempt/Carry/Target Variables

Opportunity-Neutral Cheat Sheet

Here are the top-20 at each position if every QB were guaranteed exactly 550 passing attempts, every RB 250 carries and every WR 140 targets. In other words, we're taking the "opportunity" variable out of the equation and looking at who would be the most productive on a per-attempt basis in a standard scoring format (non PPR). Of course, running QBs will still run, and receiving RBs will still catch passes, too.

Feedback is welcome, of course.

Last week's article removed health as a variable. This one removes opportunity.
