2025 Fantasy Outlook
Picked up in a trade with the Panthers last November, Mingo did little over eight games with the Cowboys after disappointing during his season and a half in Carolina. The 2023 second-round pick showed some elite athleticism at the combine that year, but it's rarely shown up on the field, either in college or the NFL. Mingo was expected to fight for a depth role at WR in Dallas behind CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens before suffering a PCL sprain in mid-August that likely will force an IR stint to begin the campaign. RANKS
Limited in Wednesday's practice
Mingo (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Mingo's practice participation has been inconsistent since the Cowboys designated the 2023 second-rounder to return from injured reserve Oct. 1. He's opened the week with a limited session Wednesday, but he would give himself a better chance at being reinstated from IR ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders were he to practice in full over the next two days.

How does the Commanders pass defense compare to other NFL teams this season?
The bars represents the team's percentile rank (based on QB Rating Against). The longer the bar, the better their pass defense is. The team and position group ratings only include players that are currently on the roster and not on injured reserve. As a rookie in a limited offense, Mingo had a respectable 85 targets in 15 games. With the Carolina receiver group being led by the 33-year-old Adam Thielen, there wasn’t major competition for targets. Unfortunately, Mingo struggled with drops and ended the season catching just 50.6 percent of his passes. The receiver wasn’t very effective with a 40th percentile yards after the catch rate. It’s possible that both Mingo and rookie quarterback Bryce Young were overmatched as rookies. Although there weren’t many positives to take from Mingo’s rookie season, it’s possible we see improvement in his second season. However, after the team added Diontae Johnson and Xavier Legette in the offseason, Mingo may struggle to see consistent snaps. Unless the second-year receiver can push Adam Thielen for work, Mingo may be the No. 4 receiver.

Set for Dallas debut
Mingo is expected to make his Cowboys debut against the Texans on Monday Night Football, per Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
ANALYSIS
Mingo was acquired by the Cowboys from the Panthers in a trade on November 5, but he subsequently sat out his new team's Week 10 loss to the Eagles. The 2023 second-round draft pick could contend for a prominent role right away since Jalen Tolbert has a tenuous grasp on the second spot on the wide receiver depth chart behind CeeDee Lamb, while nobody has stepped up as a productive third option in the absence of Brandin Cooks, who remains on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
