Flashes pass-rushing ability
DEPhiladelphia Eagles
January 22, 2020
Sweat recorded 21 tackles, four sacks and a pass breakup over 16 regular-season games in 2019.
ANALYSIS
In his second professional season, Sweat displayed a strong pass-rushing presence, logging 15 quarterback pressures. The 22-year-old finished with 355 defensive snaps, ranking fourth among the Eagles' defensive ends behind Brandon Graham, Derek Barnett and Vinny Curry. Curry will be a free agent in March while both Graham and Barnett are under contract in 2020, so Sweat will likely work in a rotational role again.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Scouts widely hail the 6-5, 250-pound Sweat as a freakish athlete. He was the No. 1 high school recruit in the nation when he suffered a horrific knee injury that put not only his career in danger, but also future ownership of his leg. Due to league-wide concerns about the knee, the Eagles were able to snag him as a fourth-round draft pick. He'll be able develop under the tutelage of Fletcher Cox, Michael Bennett, Chris Long and company without the pressure of having to contribute right away. However, the rookie succeeds at getting after the quarterback, a major emphasis of defensive coordinator Jim Scwartz's system, so he could very well find himself with regular snaps. The 21-year-old has more than enough talent to pry his way into Philadelphia's rotation at end.
