2019 Fantasy Outlook
Williams only started at Alabama for one year, but his performance in that season (eight sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss) was enough to rocket him up draft boards into the top three selections of 2019. Picked third overall by the Jets, the 6-3, 303-pound defensive lineman should help clog up running lanes while also generating an interior pass rush. While interior linemen haven't been premier IDP options in the past, Aaron Donald changed that thinking and Williams will be hoping to follow in his footsteps. Read Past Outlooks
Gains medical clearence
DTNew York Jets
June 5, 2019
Williams (calf) will be a full participant in the Jets' mandatory minicamp next week, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams had been dealing with the calf injury for almost two weeks, but the Jets apparently aren't overly concerned with his health heading into his rookie. Assuming he steers clear of any noteworthy setbacks with the calf injury, the Alabama producti should stake his claim to the starting job at nose tackle.
