Bryan Edwards

23-Year-Old Wide ReceiverWR
Las Vegas Raiders
2021 Fantasy Outlook
The 81st pick in the 2020 draft, Edwards had a low-impact rookie year, missing four games with a foot injury and eclipsing two targets only once all year. At 6-3, 212, he has excellent size, and while he didn't run in the NFL Combine, he's got good speed for a big receiver. He should get another chance this year in a wide-open receiving corps. Last year's 12th overall pick Henry Ruggs has yet to establish himself, last year's top wideout Nelson Agholor is gone and offseason addition John Brown didn't make the 53-man roster, so Edwards only has to compete with Ruggs and slot man Hunter Renfrow for WR targets. Leads team in receiving yards Sunday
WRLas Vegas Raiders
January 11, 2022
Edwards caught four of five targets for 63 yards in Sunday's overtime thriller against the Chargers, which ended in a 35-32 victory for the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Edwards saw north of four targets Sunday night for just the second time since Week 5, bringing his regular season totals to 34 catches for 571 yards and three touchdowns on 59 targets in 16 games. The 2020 third-rounder failed to match the production of fellow receivers Hunter Renfrow and Zay Jones through the latter half of his sophomore campaign, but Edwards still showed signs of improvement after a rookie season that was derailed by ankle and foot injuries. He'll remain involved on the outside this weekend as the Raiders head to Cincinnati for a wild-card contest against the Bengals.

2020 Fantasy Outlook
Four years of production at South Carolina included over 3,000 total receiving yards and no less than four touchdowns in a given season, but a broken foot kept Edwards out of the 2020 NFL Combine and he ultimately fell to the Raiders at No. 81 overall in the draft. The issue shouldn't linger into training camp, but Edwards faces stiff competition for targets as Las Vegas spent their first pick on Henry Ruggs to complement Tyrell Williams and slot receiver Hunter Renfrow, while tight end Darren Waller draws plenty of attention as well. Williams dealt with nagging plantar fasciitis in 2019, however, so the selection of the 6-foot-3, 212 pound Edwards selection provides the team with insurance on the outside.
