Rest-of-Season Projections
2023 Fantasy Outlook
The Jets promptly added Amos after Chuck Clark suffered a season-ending ACL tear during the team's offseason program. Amos should slide into the starting free safety role in New York after notching at least 83 tackles in each of the previous four seasons with the Packers. He set a career high with 102 tackles in 2022. Read Past Outlooks

Parts ways with Jets
Amos was waived by the Jets on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Amos and the Jets reportedly both agreed to part ways. This is not too surprising, as the veteran safety has seen his role reduced since the first four weeks of the season. He will now be free to look for a new opportunity of his choosing, assuming he clears waivers.

For the third time since joining the Packers, Amos started every game and played nearly every defensive snap in 2021. The extra game didn't hurt, but Amos finished the season with 93 tackles - the best mark of his career. He picked off two passes for the fourth year in a row, but he's never topped that mark in seven seasons. The durability makes Amos a trusty option in leagues using individual defensive players, but don't expect much outside the tackle column.
