2023 Projections
2022 Fantasy Outlook
Muhammad may benefit from playing in the defensive system that new coach Matt Eberflus brings over from Indianapolis, where the two previously worked together. After averaging 26.3 tackles per season between 2018 and 2020, Muhammad nearly doubled his production last year, when he recorded 48 stops. He also posted a career-high six sacks after never having more than three in a season. Going into his age-27 campaign, he should be a steady, but low-upside, fantasy producer in IDP leagues. Let go by Bears
The Bears have released Muhammad, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Muhammad ended the 2022 season with 29 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble across 17 games. He played an even timeshare with Trevis Gipson, as neither player was ultimately able to earn a larger role. The 27-year-old will now look to bounce back from a relatively disappointing season in 2023 with a new team. He has already played for New Orleans, Indianapolis and Chicago across his six-year career.
