2026 Fantasy Outlook
Grupe is back with the Colts and set to compete with Spencer Shrader for the placekicker job, hoping to pick up where he left off last year when he made all 21 of his kicks (11 FGs, 10 PATs) in five games for Indianapolis. He even went 4-of-4 from 50-plus yards, including a 60-yarder, but Saints fans will tell a different story about Grupe's 2025 campaign and his career in general. The Saints released him in late November, following two-plus years in the kicker role, with Grupe having made just 79.8 percent of his career field-goal attempts at the time. The Colts will now have to weigh Grupe's strong work last December against his broader track record of mediocrity. In any case, the winner of a competition between Grupe and Shrader is unlikely to generate much fantasy interest, though there should at least be streaming appeal if the dome-based Colts field a solid team again. Signed a contract with the Rams in October of 2026.The Rams signed Grupe off the Jets' practice squad Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Los Angeles will bring Grupe aboard as its new kicker in place of Harrison Mevis, who was cut after going 0-for-2 on field-goal attempts in Monday's 37-34 overtime loss to the Bills and missing four kicks overall through the first five games of the season. Though he was unable to win the Jets' kicking job coming out of the preseason, Grupe has been a serviceable performer over parts of three NFL campaigns. For his career, Grupe has connected on 86 of 105 field-goal attempts (81.9 percent) and 96 of 98 extra-point tries (98 percent).

2023
Grupe won the Saints' kicker job as an undrafted rookie in 2023 and hasn't missed a game since, making 83.8 percent of field-goal attempts and 97.3 percent of PATS. He's been about average from long range -- going 12 of 17 from 50-plus yards and 15 of 18 from 40-plus -- and about average at converting the shorter stuff. Grupe may face job competition this summer under a new coaching staff, and there's not much chance of the Saints being a top team that can help him pile up volume.

Jets keeping options open at kicker
The Jets, who claimed Grupe off waivers from the Colts on Monday, brought Justin Tucker, Michael Badgley and Joshua Karty in for a tryout Wednesday, per Brian Costello of the New York Post.
ANALYSIS
Grupe is the only kicker currently on the Jets' 53-man roster, but the team has Jason Sanders on the practice squad and took a closer look at three alternatives at the position Wednesday. Even if Grupe heads into the regular season as the team's kicker, the Jets could pivot to another option if he struggles out of the gate. Grupe has converted 86 of 105 career field-goal attempts in 50 regular-season games split between the Saints and Colts.
