Bland didn't get a chance to build on a dazzling 2023 season that saw him turn five of his nine interceptions into pick-sixes, an NFL record, as a stress fracture in his foot cost him the first 11 weeks of 2024. He didn't pick off a single pass in the seven games he did manage to play, but a healthy offseason should get him back on track. Bland (foot) won't play Sunday against the Giants, Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said Friday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Aggressive defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has been replaced by Mike Zimmer, which could rein in the ball-hawking tendencies of both Bland and Diggs, but the duo still give Dallas an elite pair of starting cornerbacks.
