Practicing without leg brace
Revel (concussion) is participating during the Cowboys' OTAs, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site, Revel's biggest priority during the offseason was getting back to full health and shedding the leg brace that he wore for much of the 2025 season, which he has now accomplished with offseason workouts underway. Now, he'll compete for a starting role on the boundary opposite DaRon Bland.

A third-round selection out of East Carolina in the 2025 Draft, Revel might have been a first-round pick if he hadn't been recovering from a ACL tear suffered last September, which means he'll fit right in with the Cowboys' injury-prone secondary. Revel has the length and speed to be a shutdown cornerback in the NFL, although he will need to improve his technique both as a tackler and in coverage to become elite. He's not guaranteed to be ready to go for Week 1 as a rookie.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Will compete for starting role
Revel is fully healed and expected to compete for a starting outside cornerback role in 2026, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Revel suffered a torn ACL in his final collegiate season and was unable to play until Week 11 of his rookie campaign after being taken in the third round by the Cowboys in the 2025 NFL Draft. He didn't perform particularly well, but that's not a surprise due to the difficult circumstances of his debut and the fact that he was joining a historically bad Dallas defense. Revel will most likely compete with former Ram Cobie Durant for a starting spot in the team's revamped secondary.
