2026 Fantasy Outlook
Dell came in as a 2023 third-round pick and looked like a star in the making during his rookie season, but he took a step back in 2024 and then suffered a gruesome injury at the end of the season. Dell subsequently missed all of 2025, recovering from a series of torn ligaments and a dislocated kneecap. It sounds like he'll still have limitations this offseason, well over a year removed from the initial injury, but Texans coach DeMeco Ryans did tell reporters that he expects Dell to contribute in 2026. With Nico Collins locked in as the team's No. 1 receiver, Dell will eventually look to challenge young wideouts Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel for playing time. Read Past Outlooks

Involved in full-team drills Monday
Dell (knee) participated in "full-team drills" Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Dell practiced in pads last week for the first time since injuring his knee, and after initially being limited to individual drills he has advanced to team work. His status for Week 1 remains uncertain, but if he can avoid any setbacks there's reason to believe he'll be out there when the regular season gets underway.

2023
Dell came in as a third-round pick in 2023 and put up 709 receiving yards and seven touchdowns over 11 games, but his career has since been derailed by injuries, starting with the broken leg that ended his rookie season. He returned for Week 1 of 2024 but didn't match his 2023 production, averaging 3.6 catches for 47.6 yards per game before suffering a devastating injury in late December. Dell dislocated his left knee, in addition to suffering ACL, LCL, MCL and meniscus damage, which led to surgeries in January and March. There's a chance he doesn't play at all in 2025, and he'll certainly miss the early part of the season.

Hits big recovery benchmark
Dell, who last played in Week 16 of the 2024 season due to a devastating knee injury, practiced for the first time since that date Wednesday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
While he participated only in a limited capacity, Dell was at least on the practice field in a team padded practice for the first time since December 2024. Bien-Aime reports Dell caught several passes from C.J. Stroud in individual drills while running full-speed routes. Dell suffered multiple torn ligaments and a dislocated kneecap in that 2024 late-season loss to the Chiefs when fellow wideout Jared Wayne collided with his knee, and head coach DeMeco Ryans said Wednesday the training staff will bring Dell along carefully based on how he's feeling.
