NFL Picks: Pianowski Still in the Lead

This article is part of our NFL Picks series.

Erickson and I went 8-3-2 to win the week, but Pianow's still in first place, 12 games over .500. We also won all of our best bets last week and both of our consensus picks, now 12-5 on the year. There are no consensus picks this week, however.

Enjoy the games.

EricksonI think they looked better than the end result Monday, and I'm not sure why Denver is being given credit on the road with the movement of the line.
PianowskiI hate this card with the intensity of 1,000 suns.
LissI like the Cardinals getting more than a FG at home against a banged-up Steelers squad. I also like the Browns and Redskins.
StopaThe Colts are too improved on offense with Painter at QB and the Saints are too weak on defense for the Saints to be laying 14... I'm sick and tired of losing with the Rams, but so is everyone else, and with Bradford hurt, nobody wants them. That makes them a value... After the Raiders bye next week, Carson Palmer should be an upgrade for the Raiders at QB, as he'll have had two weeks to acclimate himself to the offense. For this week, though, he'll have had three days of practice with a completely new team after not having played or practiced since December. Plus, he matches up against a Chiefs squad that has been better than you realize the past few weeks - consecutive wins after a close loss at San Diego. I like them off a bye, fading the hype in Oakland... I also like fading the Tim Tebow hype, and the Dolphins won't go 0-16... I struggled with Seahawks/Browns. I feel like Seattle is better, and their last three games show it (2 wins and a close loss to the Falcons), but how much of that was due to the surprisingly improved play of Tarvaris Jackson, who looks like he won't play?... I also struggled with the Ravens. I think the Jags defense is sneaky good, but will it matter with the Ravens defense against Blaine Gabbert?
Del Don Don't feel all that great about my "best bet" this week, and for whatever it's worth, I ended up taking 10 home teams (compared to just two true road teams).
