Tournament Preview
There's a change of pace this week for the European Tour. The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is a unique Pro-Am event that is played over three golf courses. It is a highly anticipated tournament, with celebrities playing with the tour professionals. The cut this week will be made after the third round and will consist of the top 60 and ties. Golfers will play all three courses the first three days and those that make the cut will play The Old Course again for the final round. All of the courses are links style and wind usually plays a major factor. With so many variables associated with playing three courses, tournament history and recent form will guide the picks this week. Accuracy off the tee and green approaches will also be considered.

Rory McIlroy $12,500 (5/1)
It looks like a great week to get back on McIlroy. He finished second last week at British Masters and has been showing signs that things were turning around for him after a lackluster season. Perhaps he is just getting healthy and feeling good again, and he will be paired up with his dad this week, which I think will give him added comfort. Rory will be highly owned, but I can't pass on his potential upside.
Chris Wood $8,600 (33/1)
Wood has finished in the top 10 the last three times he has played this tournament, the highest being T4 in 2015. He is a good links golfer and can handle the wind, and also finished T26 last week and T9 at KLM Open before that. I anticipate Wood continuing his strong momentum at a tournament where he has enjoyed much success.
Richie Ramsay $8,100 (40/1)
Ramsay has been playing great golf since the second week in July and has been close to earning the W a few times. He missed the cut here last year, but that was during a rough patch when he was not playing his best. This year he enters under different circumstances and knows he can succeed here after finishing T2 in 2014. Ramsay is ranked 37th in driving accuracy and 10th in greens in regulation on tour.
Graeme Storm $7,600 (66/1)
This week could be exactly what the Englishman is looking for to get him in the winner's circle. Storm has been right on the edge the last two weeks, finishing fourth at British Masters and third at Portugal Masters. This is a tournament that Storm has played every year since 2005, finishing as high as T15 three times. Graeme is ranked 41st in driving accuracy and 12th in GIR. He appears to have great value at $7,600 given his familiarity with the course and recent form.
