The Preview
It's like deja vu all over again as the PGA Tour remains in Dublin, Ohio on the heels of Collin Morikawa's playoff victory over Justin Thomas at the inaugural Workday Charity Open, hosted by Muirfield Village Golf Club where we're accustomed to enjoying the historic Memorial Tournament. This year's edition of the Memorial feels extra special with a loaded field giving off major championship vibes, along with the return of reigning Masters champion Tiger Woods from a five-month break. The course will play a bit differently this week as the plan remains to let the rough grow while keeping the greens firm and fast, so Patrick Cantlay's 2019 winning score of 19-under could be tough to reach. Despite original hopes for spectators at Muirfield being dashed, daily fantasy contests will run as usual as we look ahead to a handful of value picks in Yahoo contests.

Bryson DeChambeau - $45
We didn't see him last week at Muirfield as DeChambeau earned himself a week of rest following his win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, but the long-hitting golf scientist still ranks first among this week's field in SG: Off-the-Tee since the PGA Tour's restart in June. He's also figured things out with the flat stick, gaining a total of 12.8 strokes on the greens in his last two starts dating to a sixth-place finish at the Travelers Championship. The last time DeChambeau finished outside the top-10 in any event? Super Bowl weekend in early February at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Patrick Cantlay - $43
The Memorial Tournament's defending champion returned to Muirfield Village last week for a T7 at the Workday Charity Open, but he really turned it on during Sunday's final round with a seven-under 65 that included seven birdies and an eagle to close out the top-10 performance. Cantlay has remained on the positive side of every single Strokes Gained subcategory since returning to action at the Travelers, while he's also 11th or better on Tour in GIR percentage, SG: Approach, SG: Tee-to-Green and birdie average this season.
Glue Guys
Viktor Hovland - $35
Ranking first among his peers in SG: Tee-to-Green and SG: Approach while also continuing to rack up eagle bonuses on a weekly basis, Hovland has essentially become a free space in daily fantasy formats with five consecutive top-25s since the schedule resumed at Colonial. The 22-year-old Norweigan has gained an absurd 9.4 strokes from tee to green per tournament during this span, seemingly just an average putting performance away from finding the winner's circle. Hovland gained over six strokes both on approaches and off the tee en route to his third-place result this past week at the Workday Charity Open.
Joaquin Niemann - $32
Niemann's short game is often a hindrance, but the young Chilean hasn't lost strokes on approach shots since the 2019 Open Championship and he's gained a total of 18.9 strokes from tee to green over his last three starts dating back to a top-5 finish at the RBC Heritage. Prior to the Workday Charity Open, he placed T6-T27 in his first two career trips to Muirfield Village, and Niemann currently ranks top-5 on Tour in proximity from 175-200 yards.
Bargain Bin
Kevin Streelman - $24
Streelman has finished T18 or better in four of his last five appearances at the Memorial Tournament, and he also just posted back-to-back top-10s at the Workday Charity Open and the Travelers Championship to rebound from three consecutive missed cuts from the Arnold Palmer Invitational through the RBC Heritage. He gained 7.3 strokes from tee to green on the way to his solo runner-up honors at TPC River Highlands before adding another 4.7 strokes gained in the T2G department last week at Muirfield. Since the Charles Schwab Challenge, Streelman is seventh in SG: Total and even a solid 21st in SG: Putting.
Doc Redman - $20
Redman seems like a steal at the minimum price here, given he ranks fourth in SG: Approach and 13th in SG: Tee-to-Green over his last 16 tournament rounds. His short game was fairly brutal from the Charles Schwab Challenge to the Travelers Championship, but he still managed to make the cut in all three attempts during this stretch before gaining 3.5 strokes putting in Detroit, which resulted in another top-25 finish at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Redman is 0-for-1 in cuts made at the Memorial Tournament, but he's gone T21-T11-T21 since the RBC Heritage.
