There are four games in the NHL on Friday. Columbus plays in Washington, Buffalo hosts Toronto, San Jose travels to New Jersey and Winnipeg is home to Calgary. Below, you'll find suggested options for crafting an effective lineup.
GOALIES
Jake Allen, NJ vs. SJ ($8,100): Allen is expected to get the nod on Friday against a San Jose team that beat the Rangers on Thursday in OT. He's so far gone 3-1-0 while only allowing seven goals on 101 shots.
Eric Comrie, WPG vs. CGY ($7,800): Comrie enters Friday having only appeared once this season, though that was a win over the Islanders when he made 33 saves. The Jets will be motivated to do well after being shut out at home on Thursday by the Kraken.
VALUE PLAYS
Jack Quinn, BUF vs. TOR ($4,400): Quinn started the campaign scoreless from his first three games, but has since been hot with three goals and three assists across the last four - including two power-play markers.
Joel Farabee, CGY at WIN ($4,100): Farabee may only have two assists so far, yet the Flames have only managed 12 goals through eight outings. He also skates on the top line and second power play, where he's averaged 3:37.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Maple Leafs at Sabres
Bobby McMann (W - $4,000), Auston Matthews (C - $7,800), William Nylander (W - $7,400)
The Leafs haven't been getting enough production from Matthews with "only" six points and two of his goals empty netters. Nylander, who's tied for second in scoring with 13 points, has been moved up to the top unit. McMann has recorded two goals and an assist, but hasn't found the scoresheet in his last three appearances.
Devils vs. Sharks
Jesper Bratt (W - $7,300), Jack Hughes (C - $7,700), Ondrej Palat (W - $3,800)
The Devils' lead line have been outstanding this season, highlighted by Tuesday's 5-2 win over Toronto where Hughes produced a hat-trick while Bratt chipped in with three assists. The latter has registered a point during all seven games with four goals and seven assists overall while Hughes is at nine points. Palat has only delivered once assist so far, though comes in at a low salary and will be facing a vulnerable Sharks defense.
DEFENSEMEN
Zach Werenski, CLS vs. WSH ($6,600): Werenski enjoyed a career year in 2024-25 with 23 goals and 59 assists. And he's picked up where he left off with four points alongside 22 shots and a 25:52 average.
Owen Power, BUF vs. TOR ($5,400): Power only has one goal and one assist, yet logs 2:57 a night on the power play. He notched a career-high 40 points last season and looks primed to set another scoring milestone.
