After a full slate of 16 games Tuesday, the only clash scheduled for tonight is Toronto at Columbus, beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET. Due to it being a one-game slate, the rules are different tonight. You have a budget of $60,000 to spend across six players, including your MVP and five utility players. Who you pick as your MVP is important because he will provide you with 1.5 times the points, with the trade-off of also being 1.5 times more expensive relative to how much the player would cost in a utility slot.
SLATE PREVIEW
Neither team is regarded as a clear favorite in this game based on FanDuel's moneyline. Toronto is at minus-105 while Columbus is minus-115. The over/under is at 6.5 with the over being at minus-130, so the expectation is that this will be a high-scoring game.
MVP
William Nylander, TOR at CLM ($18,000): Nylander has been fantastic this campaign with three goals and 15 points through nine appearances. It would be nice to see him take more shots – he has just 14 so far – but after recording at least 250 shots for each of the past four regular seasons, it wouldn't be surprising to see Nylander start getting the puck to the net with greater frequency soon. He's also a great candidate to reach the 100-point milestone this year after falling just short of it when he recorded a career-high 98 points during the 2023-24 regular season.
UTILITY
Dmitri Voronkov, CLM vs. TOR ($10,200): After recording 47 points as a sophomore in 2024-25, the 25-year-old Voronkov seems primed to take a significant step forward this year. He already has five goals and nine points in nine appearances this season. He's been consistent, too – Voronkov has been held off the scoresheet just twice in 2025-26.
Matthew Knies, TOR at CLM ($9,800): Toronto isn't known for locking up its forwards to favorable long-term deals, but Knies is looking like an exception to that. The 23-year-old is becoming a player who will be worth significantly more than his $7.75 million cap hit through 2023-31. He has four goals and 13 points in 10 appearances this year, and is coming off back-to-back multipoint games (two goals, three assists).
Zach Werenski, CLM vs. TOR ($9,000): Werenski has two goals and six points in nine outings this season. For most defensemen, that's a strong start, but it's a touch behind what some might have hoped for after his 82-point 2024-25 regular season. It wouldn't be shocking to see him pick up the pace offensively, but either way, the 28-year-old is certainly capable of having big games, and he's a nice grab at his current price point.
Sean Monahan, CLM vs. TOR ($8,400): Monahan didn't record a point over his opening five games this year, but he's put that behind him by recording an assist in each of his last four appearances, including two helpers with the man advantage. Monahan is centering Columbus' top line and is part of the first power-play unit, so he's in a prime position to have a great campaign. He looked good with the Blue Jackets last year, supplying 19 goals and 57 points in 54 outings. Monahan also plays on the same line as Voronkov, so you'll get some synergy for selecting both of them.
Yegor Chinakhov, CLM vs. TOR ($4,600): Chinakhov is a risk, but his low cost makes the more expensive options on this roster doable. At the very least, the 24-year-old has done well recently, recording two goals and four points across his past three appearances, so the hope is that he'll keep that hot streak going Wednesday.
