Dream11 Fantasy KBO: Wyverns at Twins

This article is part of our Dream11 Fantasy KBO series.

SK Wyverns (11-19) at LG Twins (18-12)

Thursday, June 11th, 2:00 AM EDT

Projected starters

RHP Ricardo Pinto (3-2, 4.15 ERA) vs RHP Min Ho Lee (1-1, 1.10 ERA)

Game Preview

After Wednesday's meeting between these two clubs got rained out, both clubs will play a doubleheader Thursday. This contest covers the first of those two games. The Twins have been the better of the two teams thus far this season, sitting third in the standings, though they lost Tuesday's series opener and have lost five of their last seven games. The Wyverns are stuck down in eighth place, though they've won three of their last four games and eight of their last 11. Ricardo Pinto will try to outduel Min Ho Lee, who has been excellent so far this season with a 1.10 ERA in 16.1 innings of work. Pinto has not been bad lately, either, allowing just one earned run in two of his last three starts.

Injuries

Hyung Jong Lee – LG Twins – Out – Hand

May 10 - Lee, who suffered a fractured wrist in a preseason game, is expected to return in late May or early June, Newsis News Agency reports. Lee broke the fifth metacarpal in his left hand, but he should be a big part of LG's offense when he returns after hitting .286 with 13 home runs and an .800 OPS last season. Yong-taik Park has received more playing time as a result of Lee's injury.

Yong-taik Park has received more playing time as a result of Lee's injury.

Tae In Chae – Wyverns – 10-Day IL – Ribs

May 12 - Chae will be out six weeks with a right intercostal injury, KBO analyst Jin-Hyeok Jang reports. Chae has not played frequently for SK this season, but the club will be a bit thin at first base until he recovers from his injury. They should be just fine in his absence, though, as fellow first baseman Jamie Romak has started every game at the position to date.

Dong Min Han – Wyverns – 10-Day IL – Lower Leg

June 11 - Han (lower leg) is expected to return between late June and early July, Newsis reports. Han still has a ways to go in his recovery, and manager Kyung Yup Yeom said he "will not be in a hurry" to get Han back. However, Han appears to be progressing well, and still has a chance to return to the field sooner than originally expected.

Chang Pyung Kim – Wyverns – 10-Day IL – Shoulder

June 6 - Kim (shoulder) had his stint on the injured list extended Friday, according to koreabaseball.com. It was thought that Kim might only miss a few games as a result of his injury, but he has not stepped on the field since May 24. He will be eligible to come off the injured list as soon as he is healthy, but it remains to be seen when that will be.

Jong Wook Ko – Wyverns – Out – Ankle

June 11 - Ko (ankle) will be out late June or early July, Newsis reports. It was thought that Ko would only miss two weeks with the ankle injury he suffered in mid-May, but he will end up missing far more time than that.

Jae Won Lee – Wyverns – 10-Day IL – Thumb

June 11 - Lee (thumb) is expected to return between late June and early July, Newsis reports. SK's top catcher has missed nearly the entire season after fracturing his thumb on the third day of play, and it appears he will miss several more weeks. Manager Kyung Yup Yeom said he "will not be in a hurry" to get Lee back, so he should be 100 percent, or at least close to it, whenever he next takes the field.

Top picks:

Roberto Ramos, Twins: Ramos has hit safely in four of the Twins' last five games, racking up three multi-hit performances during that stretch. He's been dominant all season, leading the KBO in home runs this season with 12 in just 121 at-bats.

Min Ho Lee, Twins: Lee is coming off a two-run, seven-inning performance during his last effort, the only time he's allowed any earned runs in any of his four appearances this season. Lee is looking worthy of consideration whenever he takes the mound thanks to his 1.10 ERA and 0.92 WHIP through 16.1 innings at the start of his rookie campaign.

Hyun Soo Kim, Twins: The veteran left fielder has hit safely in six of seven contests for the Twins this month, including each of the last three. He has three home runs and 20 RBI to go with his stellar 1.007 OPS on the season.

Jamie Romak, Wyverns: Romak has not been included in the team below due to budget constraints, but he is a good captain choice for those looking to assemble a Wyverns-based lineup. The first baseman is coming off a three-hit day and has two home runs, six RBI and four walks during his last three contests.

Captaincy Options:

1. Roberto Ramos

2. Min Ho Lee

3. Hyun Soo Kim
