Font will take on Marlon Vera in a catchweight bout after Font missed weight by 2.5 pounds during Friday's weigh-in, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS

Comes up short against legend
Font lost to Jose Aldo via unanimous decision (45-50, 45-50, 46-49) at UFC Vegas 44 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Font had all the momentum in the world, entering this fight on a four-fight winning streak that included several high-quality opponents, but was unable to get the job done against one of his toughest tests to date. The numbers here are a bit misleading, as Font recorded 149 significant strikes compared to 86 for Aldo -- one of the highest margins in history for a fighter who lost a decision. It was Aldo's shots that did the most damage, however, as evidenced by two knockdowns. Font did have Aldo's eye almost completely swollen shut late, but he was unable to capitalize. Font looked more than capable of competing in five-round fights at the highest level, but he'll now need to string together a few victories if he wishes to get back in the title conversation.

Fight in the works against Aldo
Font (lower leg) is expected to fight Jose Aldo in a bantamweight bout at the UFC event Dec. 4, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Font has won four straight bouts and five of six overall. He most recently defeated Cody Garbrandt via unanimous decision back in May. Font is getting closer to a title shot and a victory in early December against Aldo would certainly help out that cause.
