Uses jiu-jitsu to remain unbeaten
FeatherweightUFC
March 23, 2019
Mitchell defeated Bobby Moffett via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night 148 in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell dropped his opponent early in the first round, and while he couldn't get the finish, he was able to consistently use his BJJ to remain ahead in the contest. Mitchell seems like a fairly rudimentary striker but features a committed wrestling game to go along with a slick jiu-jitsu skill set, which could make him someone to watch going forward. He improves to a perfect 11-0 in professional MMA as a result of the victory. The back-and-forth affair also earned both men Fight of the Night honors.

Mitchell (groin) deemed himself completely healthy and ready to train again, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The featherweight fighter injured himself in a graphic accident back in August, but he managed to avoid any life-altering issues. Mitchell stated he's been working out in the gym for two or three weeks now, and that doctors suggested he'd be ready to fight again sometime in January or February. He doesn't have a fight scheduled at this time, but it doesn't seem like anything should be holding him back from here out.

Mitchell has suffered a gruesome injury that will render him unable to train in the immediate future, the featherweight detailed via his personal Twitter account.
ANALYSIS
We'll spare the details here, but those curious can take a look at his post on social media. The 23-year-old Mitchell sports a 10-0 professional record, most recently defeating Tyler Diamond at the TUF 27 FInale in July. It's unclear if he'll be back in the Octagon before the end of 2018, but certainly nobody would blame him for taking the time he needs to recover.
Holds on for decision victory at the TUF 27 Finale
FeatherweightUFC
July 6, 2018
Mitchell defeated Tyler Diamond via majority decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-28) at the TUF 27 Finale on Friday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell got out to an early lead in this fight and held on for the decision. He dominated the grappling in the first two rounds. He threatened with a triangle that looked close. He also took down the former wrestler multiple times. In the final round, Diamond finally got on top and dominated from the top. However, at that point Mitchell had already wrapped up the decision.
