Silva defeated Victor Rodriguez via KO (punches) at 1:00 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off signing a new four-fight contract with the UFC, Silva blew past Rodriguez as if he wasn't even there. He softened his opponent up with a knee to the midsection before unloading with a straight right hand to Rodriguez's face. Referee Chris Tognoni was on top of it, but it was clear Rodriguez wouldn't be continuing. The quick stoppage will earn Silva a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus -- his second such bonus in as many fights. Silva has now racked up back-to-back knockout victories in a span of two months after not picking up a victory (0-2, 1NC) in his first three UFC bouts. Keep on eye on the 31-year-old Brazilian.

Silva defeated JP Buys via TKO (punch) at 2:56 in Round 2 at UFC Vegas 22 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
The fight started with a low blow and an eye poke from Silva, but no points were deducted. Silva was able to win Round 1 by being a little quicker to the punch and earning some top control time. Silva was seemingly slowing down in Round 2 but could hurt Buys with punches and acquire a couple of knockdowns. Silva's most significant differences in his favor during this fight were experience, speed and grappling. The stoppage win will earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.

Silva will square off against JP Buys on March 20, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Neither fighter has a UFC victory to their name, though for Buys, that's because he's yet to make his promotional debut. Silva has lost all three of his fights under the UFC banner, though his debut loss to Khalid Taha back in 2019 was later changed to a no-contest.
