Set for UFC Edmonton

May 31, 2019
Barriault will fight Krzysztof Jotko at UFC Edmonton on July 27.
ANALYSIS
Barriault took his second professional loss in his UFC debut at Fight Night 151 versus Andrew Sanchez, though he did take it the distance before falling via decision. The 29-year-old has won eight of his eleven fights by KO or TKO, but he will need to pick his spots since he gives up three inches of reach and one inch of height to the veteran Jotko.

Loss to Andrew Sanchez in UFC debut
MiddleweightUFC
May 4, 2019
Barriault lost to Andrew Sanchez via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Ottawa.
ANALYSIS
A raucous Canadian crowd wasn't enough to propel Barriault to victory. He started off very slowly in his UFC debut before his strikes began to land with regularity in Round 2. Barriault had Sanchez hurt in the second frame but he was unable to finish his opponent and he never threatened again in Round 3. 15 minutes into his UFC run, the 29-year-old Barriault has the look of a one-dimensional brawler. It's not a recipe for success moving forward.
Making UFC debut on home turf
MiddleweightUFC
February 20, 2019
Barriault (11-1-0) is scheduled to face Andrew Sanchez (10-4-0) in a middleweight fight May 4 at UFC Ottawa, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
A middleweight and light heavyweight champion of the Canadian-based TKO Major League MMA promotion, Barriault will make his Octagon debut in his home country. While he'll likely have the crowd in his corner, Barriault will have a distinct disadvantage in experience. Sanchez, the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 23, already has five UFC fights to his credit, going 3-2-0 in those bouts.
