Shows grit in first career loss
July 24, 2021
Soriano lost to Brendan Allen via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC on ESPN 27 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Soriano looked to have Allen's number early, pressuring "All In" and landing big shots, but he spent too much time waiting on his opponent between blitzes, which allowed Allen to light him on fire with jabs and body kicks. This drained Soriano's gas tank, and while he never stopped fighting, he didn't have enough left to deal with the veteran. Soriano falls to 8-1 in professional MMA as a result of the loss.

Roll continues in Abu Dhabi
January 16, 2021
Soriano defeated Dusko Todorovic via TKO (punches) at 4:58 of Round 1 at UFC on ABC 1 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
In a rare bout between two undefeated fighters, Soriano left little doubt who the better man was. While Todorovic appeared anxious and overwhelmed by the big stage, Soriano stood back and capitalized on his opponent's mistakes. He took full advantage of Todorovic's blatant disregard for properly defending himself, peppering his opponent with massive counter strikes. The sample size is small, but Soriano's keeps himself in excellent shape and his power is obviously legitimate. The 28-year-old product of Dana White's Contender Series has now scored back-to-back first-round victories to begin his official UFC run.

Soriano's bout was initially rescheduled from May 28 but he apparently won't be available for the May 16 bout either. Instead, Kevin Holland is slated to step in and take on Hernandez.
