Drops UFC debut

August 31, 2019
Procopio lost to Karoline Rosa via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Shenzhen, China.
ANALYSIS
Procopio's first professional loss comes in her UFC debut. She looked halfway decent in her first bout with the company, but the 23-year-old Brazilian failed on all five of her takedown attempts despite holding her own on the feet. Procopio is young enough to expect some improvement moving forward, but there didn't appear to be a whole heck of a lot to get excited about here.

Procopio will make her UFC debut against Karoline Rosa in a bantamweight matchup at UFC Shenzhen on Aug. 31, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Procopio will carry a perfect 6-0 record into the UFC after earning both the flyweight and bantamweight titles while fighting for Shooto Brazil. She hasn't fought since August of 2018 when she took the Shooto flyweight belt against Sidy Rocha via unanimous decision. Still only 23 years old, Procopio has one knockout, two submissions and three decision victories on her professional record.
