Finished after blistering start
McKinney lost to Drew Dober via TKO (strikes) at 3:17 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
McKinney has openly stated that he's going to floor the gas pedal from start to finish and let the chips falls where they may. In this one it appeared as if that would result in another instant stoppage victory, but Dober somehow survived while McKinney quickly faded. McKinney crushed his opponent moments after the opening bell rang and referee Keith Peterson seemed to be an instant from stopping the bout on multiple occasions but never actually pulled the trigger. Terrance appeared to have things under control after everything settled down, but one strong knee up the middle from Dober found it's mark and McKinney was finished shortly thereafter. McKinney is ridiculously explosive, but fight IQ is extremely important at this level and Terrance learned that the hard way in this one. It was his first defeat in three UFC bouts.

Steps in against Dober
McKinney will fight Drew Dober in UFC Vegas 50 on March 12, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
McKinney will fight in place of Rick Glenn who announced he would withdraw from his bout against Dober due to a torn groin. McKinney is coming off a recent first-round submission win against Fares Ziam this past weekend. Dober has lost his last two fights.

Another instant stoppage win
McKinney defeated Fares Ziam via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:11 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was another impressive, early stoppage win for McKinney on the heels of his seven-second knockout victory over Matt Frevola in his UFC debut last June. Clearly a fighter who doesn't get paid by the hour, 13 of McKinney's 15 career bouts have ended in Round 1. That makes Terrance a highly intriguing play from both a DFS and betting perspective, as you have a guy who has proven he can provide a major payoff for those who back him. McKinney has no history of defeating better competition, and it seems highly unlikely this type of run will continue when he squares off against more talented opponents, but it's certainly been fun to watch thus far.

Ziam fight rescheduled for February
McKinney will take on Fares Ziam on Feb. 26, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
The pair were previously expected to meet on Nov. 20, but the fight was called off on the day it was supposed to occur after a member of McKinney's team tested positive for COVID-19. They'll get the chance to square off over three months later than originally planned.

Fight canceled
McKinney announced Saturday that a member of his team tested positive for COVID-19 and his fight against Fares Ziam on Saturday has been canceled.
ANALYSIS
McKinney specified that it was not him who tested positive but someone in his corner. As a close contact, there was no choice but to scrap the fight. McKinney stated they are already working to reschedule the bout although it's unclear when it could take place next.
