Jasudavicius defeated Julia Polastri via unanimous decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-27) at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, she was one of five fighters to be awarded an official UFC contract.
Jasudavicius had a few advantages in this fight as a slight betting favorite, holding big height and reach advantages over an opponent who was moving up a weight class. She came out with a fast start, logging a 10-8 round that nearly saw the proceedings end. While she faded a bit towards the end, she still outlanded Polastri 137 to 92 in total strikes and 88 to 80 in significant strikes (per Richard Mann of UFCStats.com
). Jasudavicius will add much-needed depth to the flyweight division, and she said after the fight that she will be looking to schedule her debut as soon as possible.
