Huge win following long layoff
October 16, 2021
Roberts defeated Ramazan Emeev via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Whether or not Roberts actually deserved to win is up for debate, but it's a massive victory for a fighter whose last fight prior to Saturday was November 9, 2019. Roberts didn't start all that well, but he finished strong, and that often makes a difference in the eyes of the judges. All told, Roberts lost the striking battle by a 67-42 count, while landing just one takedown compared to two from Emeev. It was a strong effort from Roberts regardless considering his extended stint on the sidelines and the quality of competition he was facing. Roberts, who has been with the UFC since December 2015, improves to 7-4 in his first 11 fights with the company.

Added to Oct. 16 card
September 23, 2021
Roberts will take on Ramazan Emeev in a welterweight bout at the UFC event Oct. 16, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
Roberts was supposed to fight back in June against Tim Means, but the bout was scratched due to COVID-19 protocols. He has had a number of other recent fight dates that were scratched as well. Roberts was last in the Octagon back in November of 2019 when he defeated Zelim Imadaev by KO.
Out Saturday due to COVID protocols
June 16, 2021
The UFC announced Wednesday that Roberts' scheduled welterweight fight Saturday versus Tim Means in Las Vegas was cancelled after Roberts was forced to withdraw due to COVID-19 protocols.
Means broke the news Tuesday that his matchup with Roberts was scrapped, but the promotion didn't provide an explanation behind the cancellation until Wednesday. Rather than finding an opponent this weekend for Means, he'll instead face Nicolas Dalby on June 26 in Las Vegas.
Matchup with Tim Means scrapped
June 15, 2021
Roberts is no longer scheduled to face Tim Means in a welterweight fight Saturday at the UFC's event in Las Vegas after Means announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that the matchup was cancelled.
The promotion has yet to provide an explanation for why the matchup was cancelled, making it unclear whether Roberts or Means withdrew. More details on the matter should arrive in the coming days.
Set to return in June
May 21, 2021
Roberts (17-5-0) (undisclosed) will fight Tim Means (31-2-1) at a UFC event on June 19, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
Roberts has not appeared in a UFC bout since November of 2019 after he was supposed to take on Nicolas Dalby on two separate occasions last year and neither of the fights ever happened. Roberts will have a minor disadvantage in height and reach and will need to punish Means with his powerful striking early on if he wants to stand a chance.
Withdraws from Dalby fight
July 2, 2020
Roberts has withdrawn from his July 25 matchup against Nicolas Dalby for undisclosed reasons, Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.com reports.
This is now the second time this fight has been called off, with the original date set for London in March. Roberts had been a +110 betting underdog for this matchup at the time of cancellation.
