Set to fight Matthews
Buzukja will fight Connor Matthews at UFC Atlantic City on March 30, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Buzukja's UFC career has gotten off to a rough start, as he sits at 0-2 through his first two contests. Should he lose a third straight fight against a debuting Matthews, Buzukja's future with the promotion could be in serious jeopardy.

Routed in UFC 295 opener
Buzukja lost to Jamall Emmers via TKO (punches) at 0:49 of Round 1 at UFC 295 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
The only good news for Buzukja is that he will walk away with 20 percent of Emmers' purse after the latter missed weight by a pound on Friday morning. Other than that, it was all downhill. It was abundantly clear moments after the opening bell rang that Buzukja had zero answers for the speed and power of his opponent. It was a good stoppage from referee Keith Peterson. A product of the Serra/Longo camp on Long Island, Buzukja has not been competitive in each of his first two UFC appearances -- both this and a loss on Dana White's Contender Series back in September 2020. It's not a guarantee he will receive another fight with the company.

Taking on heavy opponent
Buzukja will face Jamall Emmers at a catchweight for UFC 295 on Saturday after the latter missed the featherweight limit, Alexander K. Lee of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Buzukja lost his UFC debut to Sean Woodson in August after taking the fight on short notice, and he'll be facing a heavy opponent in bout No. 2 this weekend. Emmers is being fined 20 percent of his fight purse for the weight miss.

Facing Emmers at UFC 295
Buzukja will take on Jamall Emmers in a featherweight matchup at UFC 295 on November 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Buzukja lost his UFC debut to Sean Woodson after a pair splitting a pair of Contender Series appearances. He now takes on Emmers, a 2-3 fighter that is arguably better than his record says he is. Buzukja will be at a four-inch reach disadvantage against Emmers, who also appears to have the statistical edge in both striking volume and accuracy (albeit over a small sample size for Buzukja).

Drops late-notice UFC debut
Buzukja lost to Sean Woodson via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC on ESPN 50 on Saturday in Nashville.
ANALYSIS
Buzukja accepted this fight just a few days ago, something that likely contributed to the fact he missed weight by half a pound. Once inside the Octagon, Buzukja showed very little. He allowed Woodson to land 4-of-5 takedown attempts and found himself on the short end of a 163-46 deficit in terms of total strikes landed. Still just 25 years of age, Buzukja trains with UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling's crew on Long Island on a daily basis, so it will be interesting to see how he fares with a full training camp under his belt his next time out.
