Runs winning streak to three
Brener defeated Kaynan Kruschewsky via KO (punch) at 4:01 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
Brener's strong run continues. The 26-year-old Brazilian wasn't very highly rated upon his February 2023 UFC debut, but he's been flawless in three fights with the company, with this being his most impressive performance to date. Facing a late-notice opponent in Kruschewsky, Brener uncorked a wild combination late in Round 1, with one of the strikes crashing into the side of his opponent's head, resulting in an immediate knockout victory. Each of Brener's last two wins have come via KO, an extremely positive sign given the fact 11 of his first dozen career stoppage wins came via submission.

Sao Paulo fight in jeopardy
Brener's scheduled fight against Esteban Ribovics appears to be in jeopardy, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Brener was roughly a (-155) betting favorite for the preliminary lightweight matchup, and although the promotion hasn't made an official announcement yet, the matchup has been removed from multiple high-profile sites. It's unclear if the UFC is simply moving the date, or if there was an injury or visa issue.

Will take on Ribovics
Brener will take on Esteban Ribovics in Sao Paulo on Nov. 4, ESPN's Carlos Contreras Legaspi reports.
ANALYSIS
Brener enters this event with a 2-0 record, defeating Zubaira Tukhugov via split decision back in February and then upsetting Guram Kutateladze via TKO on July 1. Ribovics is known for his explosiveness, so Brener's impressive durability could come into play.

Pulls massive upset in Vegas
Brener defeated Guram Kutateladze via TKO (punches) at 3:17 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a classic example of durability winning out in the end. Brener and Kutateladze engaged in a wild, back-and-forth brawl for 18-plus minutes, but it was clear who was winning the fight prior to the finish. It wasn't the guy that had his hand raised in the end. Yet Brener appeared to be exceedingly more comfortable than his opponent when things weren't going well and he was able to hang on until midway through Round 3, at which point the combination of Kutateladze gassing out and a perfectly placed shot behind the ear resulted in a massive upset win for the +500 underdog. Brener has now won each of his first two UFC bouts.
